DESCRIPTION:ELCCT is excited to host SOLO instructor Rick Swain in a two da
 y intensive workshop on Wilderness First Aid Training.\n\nLearn how to man
 age an emergency in the backcountry. This comprehensive two-day course is 
 a fast paced\, hands-on training program. It’s designed to meet the need
 s of hikers\, skiers\, hunters\, fisherman\, trip leaders\, camp staff\, a
 nd other outdoor enthusiasts who recreate in remote locations. It will int
 roduce you to caring for people who have become ill or injured far from de
 finitive medical care. Lectures and demonstrations are combined with reali
 stic scenarios where mock patients will challenge you to integrate your le
 arning. At the end of the course\, you’ll have the knowledge\, skills\, 
 and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations and receive a 
 Stop The Bleed®\, SOLO WFA and BLS/ CPR certification. This course may al
 so act as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Recertification class.\n\nSig

 ructor Rick Swain at the Indian Rock Nature Preserve. The cost of this pro
 gram is $300. Participants will be certified in wilderness first aid\, CPR
