SAVE THE DATE: Lausier’s Loop

Drop in and walk the loop at Barnes Nature Center in Jim Lausier’s memory on November 14th.

COST: $20 for adults and teens over 16 / $10 for ages 6-16 / free for ages 5 and under
First 20 people to register in advance will receive a gift. 

Those who knew Jim Lausier knew him as a friend of the woods, a long-time ELCCT Trustee, and someone who saw the value of connecting with nature. He could often be seen splitting and delivering firewood to support Indian Rock Nature Preserve and Barnes Nature Center. He loved organizing work parties and spearheaded maintenance projects at our facilities. He led countless hikes, camping trips, and whitewater rafting adventures for friends and family. His passion for the outdoors was shared with everyone in his life and with his recent passing, we wish to continue celebrating his legacy with this annual event in his honor: Lausier’s Loop.

This annual walk at Barnes Nature Center on the Wallace Barnes Accessible Nature Trail will support the Jim Lausier Maintenance Fund. This fund will support maintenance for the properties of ELCCT, ensuring our spaces are cared for many years to come.

We are proud to remember Jim in this way, and we hope you join us this November to walk a loop in his memory.
